Meet Katie

Romance writer Katie Newman lives in a village near Bath with her boyfriend of 19 years, their three children, a crazy cocker spaniel called Peaches and two goldfish, Elphaba & Glinda.

When she isn’t writing. Katie can be found binge-watching vampire tv shows, or stomping around the Avebury stone circle (photo-Silbury Hill Jan 2025) feeling all the woowoo feels. She is a self-proclaimed Star Wars geek, superhero nerd and loves nothing more than belting out some 90s boyband pop in the kitchen.

Katie wanted to be a writer from the moment that she opened the first Famous Five book aged 5, and spent her childhood writing stories of epic adventures inspired by Enid Blyton. Her first novel, Finding Sophie, was published in 2014 and her writing career has expanded into nine novels, with the tenth due summer 2025.

Katie’s favourite things to do are hanging out with her family, visiting ancient stone circles, yoga and meditation, drinking too many cocktails with her besties and procrastinating, she’s great at that!
